New PMG5: small evolution before a revolution?? [updated]

Saturday, April 30th, 2005, by linathael

The recent revision of the PMG5 has provided fuels to Mac users who are complaining about the lack of hardware evolution in the last PMG5 models since 10 months. PCIexpress-based graphic cards is the main wish, as well as internal hardware-based RAID, better default graphic cards, and anticipated multicore PPC970 (aka 970MP).

Apple tech support, I love you.

Friday, April 22nd, 2005, by moose

Yes, I love you, and here’s why. What follow is a compilation of experiences I had with the Apple support teams in France, on a period of, say, about 3 months. And it sorts of complements a post on our French edition’s blog.

Of Bluetooth, iSync and Japanese Phones, Part Deux

Thursday, April 21st, 2005, by kurisu

Part of the fun of having a blog read by 10 9 people is that you have quite a lot of headroom to write about whatever strikes your fantasy at any given time.

A few months back, I posted a rather lengthy blurb about how lame the Japanese cell phones are when it comes to interact with a computer, from simple things like having a common address book, to buying expensive cables that become useless when you get a new phone from the same manufacturer.

Well, not so many things have changed on that front (unsurprisingly), but one element of the equation improved the odds of me not whining again : I’m (of course?) talking about Tiger, and iSync 2.0.

One of those mixed feelings days

Thursday, April 7th, 2005, by kurisu

I’m not really feeling great these days. I won’t go into details which would bore you, my 10 regular readers, but this morning, a bunch of weird stuff just came rushing as soon as I woke up my Mac, and that was just too much.
Adium launched, and I got an offline ICQ message from one of my good friends in Russia “Chris, i bought a mac mini. It’s soooo cooool!!!!
