Random stuff about iPhone 1.1.4 update

So the 1.1.4 iPhone update came, and it brought “bug fixes”. Ehrm. But I noticed something: now, when you open new tabs in Safari, the content of the tabs will always be kept, while before that sometimes tabs would become blank and the content would have to be reloaded form the Net. Nice.

Time Machine will only do proper backups if Aperture is not running

So, according to this tech note on Apple’s knowledgebase, you can now safely use Time Machine to back up your Aperture Library (before the OSX 10.5.2 update, it was recommended to exclude the Library from the Time Machine backups for fear of giant asteroids destroying your house or something.

Microsoft Xbox 360 HD DVD Player Officially Discontinued

It was only a matter of time before Microsoft officially discontinued manufacturing the Xbox 360 HD DVD add-on, but it took them a few days longer than we expected. Their statement is finally out, and it signals Microsoft’s official withdraw from HD DVD on the console front.
