Adobe says Flash for iPhone coming soon with firmware 2.0:
“We believe Flash is synonymous with the Internet experience, and we are committed to bringing Flash to the iPhone,” Narayen said. “We have evaluated ( the software developer tools) and we think we can develop an iPhone Flash player ourselves.”

So it seems like Adobe, being threatened on one side by some even more proprietary solution in Microsoft’s Silverlight and on the other side by Apple’s push in favor of open Web standards, is starting to really freak out.
Reminds me of the recent claims by Sun that they are bringing Java to the iPhone.
