This is simply incredible. Satellite images, 3D… I cannot say enough. DOWNLOAD THIS APP!

It’s amazing.

Quote Macupdate “ Editor Notes: The version MacUpdate had linked to was not a release made by Google so it has been removed as a listing on MacUpdate until Google does indeed release it as being officially available for the Macintosh.”

    btw, it’s great !

Too bad we couldn’t have seen this as an official beta version, as I’m
tired of seeing the PC Clone users flaunt their GoogeEarth® version
while we have to use TerraServer’s antique interface or the low-flying
maps/google or google/local; with hybrid satellite views and tiny
    images of places from afar!!

Hopefully Google did more than just take notice, the short while this
unofficial beta was online (other than block its distribution!) like
wakeup! Looks like it was ported over with the intel/mac kit from x86.

As well, it is only for the small-world of the US of A to enjoy fully, which I guess is their right seeing that they did after all invent it - or at least put it online.

In spite of that, I have thoroughly enjoyed ‘flying’ over remote portions of Australia at 18,000′/5 500m that I thought I would never see again, now I no longer fly for a living.

Go for a cruise west of Alice Springs. Magic country, especially out near the intersection of West Aust, Sth Aust & the Nth Territory - the MacDonald Ranges area around the old Giles met station.

    Worth every halting lurching redraw.

    Hi All Experts,
Does anyone use google earth images as ground image planes for use in aerial scenes. I know how to stitch them together but are there any tools or tricks to make sure that the images are at the same height, angle and such to make sure they stitch well. I know in the pro version you can get bigger images but im not going to pay for the pro version when i could stitch multiple images together…
