Apple is changing its focus from a Pro (Powermac/Powerbook) company to a consumer company (Mac Mini/ipod/imac/emac/Airport Express etc).

The Powerbook has the specs that might have been acceptable for a cutting edge laptop 6-8 months ago & the Powermac IS 6-8 months old.

Remember the year of the laptop or year of the 3Ghz G5 PM or year of HD!!

For me, this update means a lot for PowerBook future!!
Why?
Let's have a look at PB12"...why the hell do we have 256MB of RAM soldered to the RAM slot!! never been the case in the past for AluBook!! however this is typical for iBook! so my feeling is that this is the last 12" PowerBook, and the next revision we will not have 12" PO anymore, but rather a 13.3" with a motherboard which will accommodate a better GPU than the current 5200Go.
What really prevent me buying a PB12"?? the current GPU!! If the PB12" had to be continued in future revision Apple would have updated it to a more powerful GPU.
