SMS / Caller ID with Address Book and a V802SE

Vodafone-802SE users rejoyce ! I have found the way to get Tiger’s Address Book.app to :

1. show the caller ID
2. send SMS
3. dial numbers

And all it took was a quick trip to Salling Clicker’s Forums.

The trick involves adding a “V800″ key in one of Address Book’s internal .plist file. You’ll have to backup your Address Book.app first !!!

Quick and painless, after relaunching AB, it works !! hurray !!

Why the hell didn’t Apple add this key in the 10.4.1 patch is beyond me… it’s not even a bug, it’s an omission !!

I like this phone more and more…

    Off topic: What fonts does this site use? I would like to know the name of the font used at the login menu and the one at the top of the homepage which states “even crunchier”.
